From Orlando Pirates to Kaizer Chiefs, plenty of transfer buzz is circulating around the PSL.
Bafana youngsters Relebohile Mofokeng and Jayden Adams have several clubs lining up, insinuating a bright future for South African soccer.
Rumours
- La Liga giants Sevilla FC are monitoring Mamelodi Sundowns star Jayden Adams, who has long been on their radar. It remains unclear whether they will attempt to lure the 23-year-old.
- Kaizer Chiefs have reignited their interest in Pyramids forward Fiston Mayele.
- If Zamalek’s R25.8 million bid in January is anything to go by, Orlando Pirates will have several foreign clubs bidding for Relebohile Mofokeng in the offseason.
- Contract talks between PSL veteran Themba Zwane and Mamelodi Sundowns have reportedly hit a roadblock, prompting speculation of an unlikely exit.
More on Adams
The Brazilians are reluctant to let Adams leave and will do all they can to keep the Bafana stare in Tshwane for next season.
“You know Sevilla FC have scouts in Africa and those are the scouts who recommended him to the club in Spain and when the club looked at some of his videos it’s believed that they were impressed and that’s when the interest grew. Now they are enquiring about him. Sevilla SC are interested in Jayden Adams.”
An additional source, said, “Sundowns are trying to build the team around him [Adams] with players like Themba Zwane nearing their retirement stages.
“It will be hard for Sundowns to let Adams go as soon as he joined the team. You know there is other interest in other experienced players as well. They apparently would rather let those go for now and keep Jayden. It won’t be easy to let him go.”
