‘It’s embarrassing to see Saile start matches’ – ex-Kaizer Chiefs star

Former Kaizer Chiefs star Junior Khanye once again criticised Christian Saile‘s performance in the Amakhosi colours.

The 25-year-old winger fired blanks on Sunday as Chiefs went 1-0 down to Cape Town City. Saile has featured in six matches this season but has yet to find a goal or provide an assist.

Speaking on iDiski TV, Khanye said Saile should not be playing for Kaizer Chiefs.

“Coming to Kaizer Chiefs, it is becoming an embarrassment to see the likes of Saile starting games. When you have a left-wing like Saile, who is always doing the same every week. I don’t understand how he earned a start in the team or why he is still at Chiefs,” he said.

Ex-Kaizer Chiefs winger single out Saile’s performance against CT City

“Not much of him throughout the match. He hits the ball but everytime he shoots, it’s off-target. His decision-making is also poor, and there are situations where he finds himself in a good position to supply the ball to teammates but passes the ball to opponents,” Khanye added.

Saile has had a tough two seasons at Kaizer Chiefs and has failed to find the form that saw him signed in 2023. Khanye has been very vocal about his play, demanding the winger to be more creative and accurate in front of goals.

“Every time he gets the ball, he cuts inside and shoots.”

“I will tell you the truth, he is a ‘skelm’. Every time he(Saile) cuts in, he shoots,” Khanye said last year after Kaizer Chiefs lost to Stellenbosch.

Should Amakhosi sell Saile in Jan?
