ITHUBA confirms R13m Lotto Plus 1 ticket bought in Grassy Park

ITHUBA, operators of the National Lottery, have confirmed that the Lotto Plus 1 jackpot has been won.

A lucky participant won over R13 million in draw 2535, held on Wednesday, 23 April.

The winning ticket was purchased in Grassy Park in Cape Town, with a R40 wager using a manual selection.

As reported by The South African website, the Lotto Plus 1 numbers drawn on Wednesday night were (in numerical order) 3, 12, 21, 30, 39, 45 while the bonus ball was 31.

The exact winning amount was R13 314 022.

The next Lotto Plus 1 draw will take place on Saturday, 26 April with an estimated jackpot of R1 million.

Winning paid out in 72 hours

The winner of the Lotto Plus 1 jackpot is urged to visit their local ITHUBA office to start the claiming process, with winnings paid out within 72 hours of a valid claim.

ITHUBA prioritises the well-being of winners – all winners of R50 000 and above are offered trauma
counselling and financial advice through certified experts, who educate winners on how to spend
their winnings wisely, preserving their wealth to safeguard them for generations to come.

ITHUBA’s CEO, Charmaine Mabuza said: “We are excited to meet the winner of this jackpot.

“We urge winners to make use of the free trauma counselling and financial advice ITHUBA offers to winners as these services have helped many National Lottery multimillionaires who have won under ITHUBA’s tenure make wise financial decision that will benefit them for decades to come”, Mabuza said.

All winners have 365 days from the draw date to claim their prize, and all National Lottery winnings
are tax-free.

Participants can check their tickets at the retail stores, or check results on the National Lottery website or social media pages, while participants who play on the banking platforms are notified of their winnings by the banks.
