Rumours have been circulating on social media about South African media personality Somizi Mhlongo allegedly being in a relationship with Zimbabwean businessman Mudiwa Wood.

Zimbabweans online have also claimed that Mudiwa is gay, adding to the controversy surrounding the images.

However, Mudiwa categorically denied the rumours in a firm response on his Facebook page.
He dismissed the claims of even knowing Somizi let alone being the person in the viral pictures.
His statement read: “I know there are people who hate me, understandable. If I were you, I would hate Mudiwa too. No servant is greater than the master; they hated Christ too. I do not know Somizi personally. Me and him will never be friends. I am not gay; we will never mix. His friend/boyfriend whatever does not look like me.”

While his words have drawn mixed reactions online, they reflect his firm denial of any association with the ongoing rumours.
