Since achieving global success, a high number of videos and pictures of Tyla have begun surfacing on social media platforms.

From her outstanding academic accolades, to her creative artwork, and not to forget – her singing, it has become clear that the entertainment industry is one that the Jump hitmaker was born to be in.

Despite having gained lots of success and popularity over the last few years, the 23-year-old singer has remained grounded and continues to surround herself with those who were part of her journey from the very beginning. Among these people is one of her childhood friends, Thato Nzimande.

The two appear to have known one another since their high school years and continue to remain friends to this day. Fans were recently left in awe after a video surfaced online showing the pair during their teenage years while dancing and having fun.

Another clip shows Thato touring with the ‘Water’ singer and actively being involved as one of the creative directors of Tyla’s ‘Push to Start’ music video.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), a user shared the clip of the duo along with the caption, which read, “Your BFF from high school being the creative director for your latest smash hit is such a Flex.”

Soon many took to the comment section to share their thoughts on the girls’ friendship.

“This is so heartwarming girls. You are all making us proud man. Wishing you both more growth, protection, and love. Basically, keep kicking bum,” wrote one user.
