Inno Matijane no longer identifies as a trans woman
South African reality TV star and businessman Inno Matijane has opened up about his spiritual journey, revealing that he has been on a path of self-discovery and reconnection with his faith.
The media personality, who previously shared plans to transition, has now stepped back from that decision, choosing instead to focus on understanding himself on a deeper level.
Speaking to TshisaLIVE, Matijane explained that his decision to retreat from the public eye was necessary for his personal growth.
“I needed to regroup, stop giving so much of myself to social media, take a bit of time to detox and find out who I am outside of the industry,” he shared.
Having recently returned to the spotlight, Matijane reintroduced himself as a man, clarifying that while he no longer identifies as a trans woman, he remains firm in his identity and is not conforming to labels of heterosexuality.
His decision, however, has drawn mixed reactions, with some members of the LGBTQI+ community expressing criticism.
Despite this, Matijane remains unapologetic about his truth, emphasizing that his journey is personal and not meant to invalidate anyone else’s experiences.
“I don’t want to hurt people, but I need to tell my truth,” he said.
