‘I discovered my talents’ – Mshini speaks about her experience in BBM

Many were left shocked and disappointed, while some were left doubting the accuracy of the final results when Siphesihle ‘Mshini’ Lekwadu was evicted on the 10th eviction show.

The 23-year-old former football player proved that indeed dynamites come in small packages, as she is known and loved for her powerful and vibrant personality. Mshini who hails from Zola, Johannesburg’s flame was extinguished when she reached the top six of the umlilo edition of Big Brother Mzansi leading to her eviction just before the final week.

After her exit from the house she sat down with BONA to unpack her experience and what she learnt from the house. During our chat she mentioned that amongst many things she took away from her stay in the Big Brother Mzansi house, she learnt to be a strong competitor and to challenge herself to succeed in any situation that she came across. Mshini said she also learnt to be alone, as she was far from her family and was surrounded by different people with different backgrounds from hers.

As seen on screens, during her stay in the house she formed a strong friendship with one of the remaining finalists, Nsuku Mabunda- Mshini told BONA that she would like to explore their friendship outside the house.

“We have been genuine with each other, I liked our friendship as it felt like we are sisters. I never thought we would connect like that but she turned out to be the one for me,” said Mshini.

As expected, she revealed that she is rooting for Nsuku to win the ultimate prize of R2 million as she has been through a lot in the house.

“I think Nsuku will win the grand prize because people also believe in her as much as she has been through a lot in the house, and the viewers have seen the altercations she has been involved in and everything, so she will definitely take it,” she said.

Mshini revealed to BONA that she would like to break-though the entertainment industry as an actress. However, her passion lies in sports presenting.

“I have also discovered a lot of talents while I was in the house , so I can do anything in the entertainment industry. I  also understand that not everything will come easy to me, I will need to put up work and approach the things I need,” said Mshini.

Mshini who is also a professional tutor said she registered her tutoring business, named Reclaim Excellence Tutoring Services, and she hopes to receive the funding she needs, so that she can get her own space and be able operate during the week and on weekends.
