Well, it certainly didn’t hurt. There they were, Trump and Harris, neck and neck – according to the “polls“. All the Dems had to do was play fair, keep Kamala – and her cackling, word-salad mouth – out of the public eye until election day, and they’d stand a chance.
And then this happened…
With Trump’s image of Haitians eating American pets in Springfield, Ohio still fresh in the country’s mind, and little more than a week to go before election day, a “concerned” New York State citizen…apparently went and did a silly thing.
WHO RATTED OUT P’NUT?
Initially, speculation from certain netizens, including P’Nut’s “dad“, suggested it was some busy-bodied, Democratic “Karen” who had pimped P’Nut (aka Peanut) to the Federales. Supposedly, the snitch had grown green with blue-haired envy over P’Nut’s spectacularly successful Instagram page…and decided to spite the rockstar rodent.
She contacted the NYSDEC and reported that Peanut’s parents, Mark and Dani Longo – who own an animal sanctuary farm in Pine City, NY – were keeping wild animals as pets.
“I WAS TREATED LIKE A TERRORIST” – Longo
The NYSDEC officials, who obviously had nothing better to do (not like preserving the environment and wildlife are a priority right now), drove more than 2hrs to the sanctuary farm, where they cornered Mark Longo and his German wife, Daniela, ransacked their home for 5 hours (“as if I was a drug dealer”, Mark said), probed his German wife about her immigration status, and then confiscated their pet squirrel and racoon.
That was 30 October. By 31 October (Halloween), P’Nut and Fred were dead. On November 1st, Mark informed the world they had been “Euthanized.”
And that’s when all, red, hillbilly hell broke loose…
‘KIDNAPPING AND EXECUTION BY GOVT OVERREACH’ – Musk
The story went viral almost immediately and ignited the most impassioned, enraged reaction to an animal killing since…General Melchett accused Captain Blackadder of “pigeon murder”.
“This is insane!”, Russ Dobular of Due Dissidence said. “This is the kind of story that creates Libertarians.” Elon Musk described it as “…kidnapping and execution by government overreach.” He’s not the only one. Joe Rogan called it “Bananas!” The rest of animal-loving America called it a senseless, batsh*t crazy, cold-blooded, critter killing.
“THE ELON MUSK OF SQUIRRELS..?”
According to JD Vance, even Trump was ‘fired up‘ when he heard “…the Democrats murdered the Elon Musk of squirrels?”
So swift, widespread and dense was the blowback that, on November 2nd, the day after Longo announced the passing of P’Nut, former US State Department Official and Author, Mike Benz tweeted: “…are we gonna win this election because of this f’ing squirrel…“
That tweet by Benz may have galvanized the Republican troops, who already smelled blood in the water, to turn his question into a self-fulfilling prophecy.
On November 4th, RollingStone admitted; “It’s tough to think that a squirrel might tilt the presidential election, but…here we are.”
LIKE WICK’S PUPPY, KILLING THAT SQUIRREL WAS A BAD IDEA
At least “P’Nut did not die in vain”, Mark Longo said, convinced that the murder of his squirrel played a small part in Trump’s massive win.
Perhaps the best analogy for how the death of P’Nut & Fred may have tilted the election in Trump’s favour came from Elon Musk in his recent interview with Joe Rogan, when he compared the killing of Peanut to the murder of John Wick’s puppy; “…then they kill his dog, that was a BAD idea!” Musk said. “And they shouldn’t have killed that squirrel.” Musk also believed the P’Nut case was serious enough to influence voters on Election Day.
BAD idea indeed, dems. Or, as Greg Gutfeld from Fox put it; “You wanna ‘red pill’ America? Raid their homes and murder their pets.”
INVESTIGATION UNDERWAY, WETM DEMANDS ANSWERS
The NYSDEC recently announced that an investigation into the seizure and euthanasia incident is underway. The DEC also have a long list of pressing, awkward questions from NBC-affiliate, WETM to answer for.
The woman accused of reporting P’Nut to the DEC has denied responsibility.
