SuperSport United midfielder Siphesihle Ndlovu has explained how Grant Margeman’s setback has affected him and the club.
Before the start of the inaugural Betway Premiership campaign, Matsatsantsa were dealt a blow with the injury of Bafana Bafana international Margeman, who is now forced to spend time on the sidelines.
The 26-year-old Margeman tore his Anterior cruciate ligament [ACL] and has been ruled out for the entire season.
Margeman played an important role for Matsatsantsa in the last term where he managed to feature in 37 matches across all competitions for the Gavin Hunt-coached side. In those 37 games, Margeman contributed one goal and weighed in with four assists.
SIPHESIHLE NDLOVU ON THE VOID LEFT BY GRANT MARGEMAN’S SETBACK
Ndlovu and Margeman were a strong pair in the midfield for SuperSport, aiding the team to unite effectively.
The former Orlando Pirates player, Ndlovu, mentioned that Margeman’s injury blow has created a significant gap and his presence is sorely missed.
Ndlovu continued by stating that collaborating with the former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder aided in his ability to achieve successful outcomes.
“You know, that’s a huge loss for the club and me because we are great partners in the middle of the park. Since his arrival, we have made a huge impact,” said Ndlovu.
“We complement each other in every aspect of the pitch. Even other mates from outside would say “it feels like you guys are five” when it’s only just the two of us.
“So, that’s how big an impact it is for us as a team. It’s a big setback, and now I’m just missing his support and strength because he’s my partner.”
Nevertheless, Ndlovu is determined to push forward and keep providing exceptional performances to assist the team in returning to top form.
