The musician didn’t return home with an award, but she made a statement at the event with her stunning performance and fashion.
Babes wore a white wedding dress, with a veil, rocked a tinted weave and wore a beaded necklace.
Taking to social media, the Gqom queen revealed that she wore a wedding-inspired dress because it brought back good memories of walking the red carpet with her late husband, Mampintsha.
“To those who are asking “Why the wedding gown?” Being invited to @thesamas_ brought back good old memories from the 1st time. Years back being invited to this event. I walked the red carpet with my late husband @mampintsha_shimora,” she wrote.
“I was so nervous so I decided I wanted to feel that feeling again by looking at it as if it was our wedding day. Ningakhohlwa my single is out AMAGANGANGOZI go get it! And yes I’m still IDandokazi the one Gqom queen ayikho enye,” Babes Wodumo concluded the note.
