South Africans get to see former DA leader Helen Zille as they’ve never before, as she dresses up in her drag persona, Zille Vanilla, for a daring new TV show.

The no-nonsense politician made a special appearance on the Showmax talk show, Die Tollie & Manila Show.

She was interviewed by drag queens Tollie Parton and Manila von Teez.

HELEN ZILLE GOES DRAG!

According to Showmax, Helen Zille will face the hot seat in the spicey new talk show as she is quizzed on topics like her social media clapbacks, political enemies, and her opinion on the Government of National Unity (GNU).

But this is no ordinary interview. Helen – fondly known as “GodZille” – will get a drag makeover.

When asked about her experience undergoing the transformation, Helen told Showmax: “Scary. It was terrifying to see myself like that!”

“I think you should always try something once,” she added.

Helen added that she was “amazed” at drag queens who often undergo the lengthy process.

Helen Zille features on episode three of Die Tollie & Manila Show, streaming on Showmax, following the appearance of Afrikaans singer Jack Parow. Upcoming guests include Rob van Vuuren, Soli Philander, and Craig Lucas, to name a few.
