Renowned traditional healer and spiritual entrepreneur Gogo Manzini, whose real name was Tyra Sindane, has sadly passed away.
The popular sangoma, known for her unconventional healing methods involving honey-producing bees, died on Thursday following a brief illness.
Tyra gained widespread attention for her money attraction rituals and her powerful presence both online and in traditional healing spaces.
Her distinctive approach to spirituality made her a respected and often talked-about figure in South African pop culture.
In addition to her spiritual work, Tyra was the visionary behind KOS Casting Agency, a company she built to create opportunities for up-and-coming talent in the entertainment industry.
Through this platform, she played a vital role in helping many aspiring actors, models, voice artists, and presenters break into the spotlight.
The heartbreaking news was first shared on her official Instagram page by her husband, who posted: “It breaks my heart as Gogo Manzini’s husband to post this heartbreaking news of my wife’s passing. Tyra ‘Gogo Manzini’ Sindane has passed away.”
Soon after, a formal statement released by the family read: “Tyra was a cherished friend, colleague, family member, public figure and mom whose presence touched the lives of so many. Tyra will be remembered for her passion for healing others, unwavering kindness, dedication to her community and the joy she brought to everyone around her.”
The family has asked for privacy during this period of mourning and said details of memorial arrangements will be shared at a later stage.
