Talk about the end of an era. WhatsApp is set to longer be available on several iOS devices.

Whatsapp is one of the biggest social media applications over the past decade.

However, as modern technology evolves so does the software needed to encompass this massive changes. Therefore, WhatsApp will no longer be accessible on several mobile devices moving forward.

FULL LIST OF PHONES SET TO LOSE WHATSAPP

Samsung: Galaxy S3, Galaxy Note 2, Galaxy Ace 3, Galaxy S4 Mini

Motorola: Moto G (1st Gen), Razr HD, Moto E 2014

HTC: One X, One X+, Desire 500, Desire 601

LG: Optimus G, Nexus 4, G2 Mini, L90

Sony: Xperia Z, Xperia SP, Xperia T, Xperia V.

The above devices will all no longer have access to WhatsApp as from January 2025.

Meanwhile, mobile powerhouse Apple will also be restricting their devices accessibility to the app. In fact, Apple users will older devices will be unable to use WhatsApp from 5 May, 2025. Let’s take a look at the iOS devices that will lose access to the app.

APPLE DEVICES SET TO LOSE WHATSAPP IN 2025

“iPhone users have until May 5, 2025 to update their software because WhatsApp will no longer support iPhones running iOS 15.1 or lower,” IOL reported.

“This means iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, and iPhone 6 Plus users will need to upgrade their devices or update to a newer iOS version to continue using the app,” they added.

Therefore, iPhone 5s, iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus users will no longer be able to access or use WhatsApp as of 5 May 2025. Meaning, an update before then is essential if you plan on using WhatsApp.
