Nasreddine Nabi was left a frustrated figure after Kaizer Chiefs suffered their second Betway Premiership defeat to SuperSport United on Saturday evening.

The 59-year-old was seen having a go at a match official towards the end of the game. The Amakhosi coach had to be restrained by his technical team as he watched his side go down 1-0 at the Peter Mokaba Stadium.

New man Tashreeq Morris scored the only goal in the 44th minute to hand Amakhosi their second loss of the season. The two teams played last weekend at the same stadium in the Carling Knockout Cup with Chiefs giving Matsatsantsa a 4-0 hiding.

After the match, Nabi said Kaizer Chiefs failed to convert the chances they created during the match.

“It’s a game we controlled practically the whole game, unfortunately, we created many opportunities but we couldn’t score and the opponent had only one opportunity and they scored it,” he said as reported by iDiski Times.

“Our young players need to understand to win a football game you need to put the ball in the net but we believe that it’s a lesson, even if it’s a tough one, we hope we can do better.

“We believe that today the mentality was good, was positive even after conceding the goal, they switched on, we pressed, we pushed hard, especially in the second half,” Nabi said about improvement in mentalities.

“We played higher, put numbers in the box, took shots, made crosses, we believed we could change the game, we want that kind of mentality.”

Kaizer Chiefs are now nine points behind rivals Orlando Pirates and looks like Nabi’s team are very much out of the title race.
