Kaizer Chiefs are monitoring several stars in preparation for the upcoming offseason window.

A lack of precision in front of goal has riddled AmaKhosi’s season, and that’s why they have a myriad of strikers on their radar, including free agent Josh Eppiah.

“Josh Eppiah is a player that we are assessing the options for, and I can confirm that there are plans for him to play in the PSL next season,” SoccerLaduma stated. “Kaizer Chiefs are one of the clubs that have been contacted to offer his services, that I can confirm.”

Mayele talks heat up

The Glamour Boys have been persistent in their pursuit of Pyramids forward Fiston Mayele, bidding on several occasions, including a R14 million offer in January.

With the Congolease international’s contract expiring at the end of next season, the Egyptian giants are said to be keen to cash in on their star player, who recently bagged a brace against AS FAR in the Champions League quarter-finals.

“Chiefs have a great chance of signing Mayele this time around. It is believed that with his contract remaining with almost a year, they want to make some cash before he becomes a free agent,” SoccerLaduma revealed.

“It’s apparently in the range between R12 million to R15 million and you know Chiefs’ last offer was around R14 million so it means they can now afford to sign him.”

However, AmaKhosi management won’t like the latest news coming from the Champions League finalists, who have reportedly offered Mayele a two-year extension, complicating proceedings for the Soweto giants.
