Orlando Pirates are set for a massive January transfer window.

The Buccaneers are looking to sign a number of top quality players ahead of a push to win both the CAF Champions League and Betway Premiership titles.

The imminent arrivals of Oswin Appollis, Thabang Matuludi and Fawaaz Basadien however spells bad news for some of the club’s current players.

According to reports, no less than five Orlando Pirates first team players could be on their way out at the club!

Five Orlando Pirates players linked with exits

The Buccaneers are reportedly willing to lose Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo in their pursuit of Oswin Appollis and Thabang Matuludi.

According to reports, Orlando Pirates are preparing an offer which will include both cash and Ndlondlo for the Polokwane City duo.

Furthermore, the Buccaneers are preparing another ‘cash + players’ offer for Stellenbosch star Fawaaz Basadien.

Both Paseka Mako and Innocent Maela are set to be included in the deal for Basadien.

Two more Orlando Pirates players have also been linked with moves away from the club this month.

Thuso Moleleki is edging closer to a move back to Orbit College while Zakhele Lepasa is reportedly also pushing for a move away from the club with the hope of earning some much needed game-time.

The Buccaneers have already parted ways with Sandile Mthethwa while Katlego Otladisa has joined Sekhukhune United on a loan deal.

In other related news, Orlando Pirates are pushing hard to sign arguably one of the best players in the country at the moment.

The Buccaneers are looking to compete for both the CAF Champions League and Betway Premiership in the second half of the season and will need some serious depth.

Jose Riveiro’s side have strongly been linked with Polokwane City star Oswin Appollis, and the club are reportedly preparing a scintillating offer for him.

This offer will include both cash and one of the club’s fan-favourites!

Pirates star to be added to Appollis deal?

“You remember about the loose ends still to be tied and discussed? One of those is that Polokwane City want to have a player and money from Pirates,” an insider told Soccer Laduma.

“The initial player that they wanted was Katlego Otladisa and since that didn’t work out then they are believed to have asked for Phillip Ndlondlo as the player who could be involved in this deal. So, as we speak now that’s what both teams are looking at and things could be done sooner than expected.”

In other news, Orlando Pirates star Mofokeng is also reportedly attracting serious interest from Spanish giants Barcelona FC!
