Mamelodi Sundowns have reportedly offered a first team contract to one of their top reserve team players.
The Brazilians have a plethora of talent in their first team, making it increasingly difficult for youngsters to push through the ranks.
However, such is the talent of one Gomolemo Kekana, that coach Miguel Cardoso believes the 18-year-old can cut it in the star studded first team.
Kekana caught the attention of Cardoso after putting in a solid shift in the middle of the park for the Carling All Stars XI in their 3-0 win over Magesi last month.
And now, the youngster will reportedly be given a chance to fight for a starting berth in the Mamelodi Sundowns first team!

“You remember the boy who played alongside Bathusi Aubaas and Samkelo Zwane in the Carling Black Label All Stars team? The one who was wearing jersey number 8? Yes, Gomolemo Kekana,” an insider told Soccer Laduma.
“Sundowns are set to promote him to the senior team. They have already offered him a senior team contract. He is very good. He can actually easily slot into the first team and that’s why the technical team has been monitoring him.
“Even before the Carling Black Label Cup game against Magesi FC he was on the team’s radar for promotion. It was just a coincidence that he played very well in that game and the team is offering him a senior team contract now. It was already in their plans long before that game.”
In other related news, a Mamelodi Sundowns star is attracting interest from Europe, however the Brazilians are not willing to lose him!
Lucas Ribeiro Costa joined the club at the beginning of last season in a big-money move from Belgian side SK Beveran.
The talented Brazilian striker has scored an incredible 24 goals while assisting 17 more in his first 57 appearances for the club.
His stunning performances for Mamelodi Sundowns however is not going unnoticed!
According to the latest transfer gossip, English side Burnley have made contact with Masandawana for their star man!

“Although there is interest from Europe including that from Burnley FC of England, Sundowns are not really wiling to let him go. He is one player that they can fight to keep at all cost,” an insider told Soccer Laduma.
“They know the value he brings to the team and the squad and both management and the technical team are happy with his contribution to the team and that’s why Mamelodi Sundowns want to hold onto him despite the interest from Europe.”
