The Betway Premiership champions qualified as one of four teams thanks to Sundowns’ African Football League title win and consistent appearances in the CAF Champions League quarter-final stages over the past 10 years. Along with Al Ahly, Esperance, and Wydad Casablanca, Sundowns will earn a participation fee of USD50 million, which will be R900 million in local currency.

Meanwhile, Kabo Yellow have a CAF Champions League game on Sunday. They take on Morocco’s AS FAR at Loftus Versfeld at 18:00. A draw will book a place in the quarterfinals.
