Kaizer Chiefs’ poor run of form continues. The Soweto giants failed to collect three points against a rejuvenated Cape Town City.
A win could have seen Kaizer Chiefs securing the fourth position, but Cape Town City spoiled the party.
KAIZER CHIEFS’ POOR RUN OF FORM CONTINUES
Newly appointed Cape Town City coach Ertugral masterminded the one-nil win at the DHL Stadium on Sunday evening.
Darwin Gonzalez’s goal was the difference. However, the defeat has since thrust Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi’s stint into the mix.
The Kaizer Chiefs coach has proved to be the same as previous coaches who have struggled with points.
Last year, he equalled Zwane and Ntseki’s ugly eight-game run. Now, he has failed to win in his last two games, leading to social media trolls from fans.
FANS SLAM NABI
Against the defeat, many supporters voiced their disappointment on social media, with some questioning the team’s tactical setup.
However, others were quick to notice no progress and called for patience, urging the club to give Nabi more time to implement his ideas.
Against the defeat, Soccer Bullet quickly asked if the Kaizer Chief gaffer delivered as promised.
Taking to Facebook, Soccer Bullet posted, “What are your honest thoughts on coach Nabi so far? Is he really cooking like he promised?”
The post has gained thousands of comments and reactions since it dropped online. One user commented, “The coach is not make sure. A loss against Cape Town City can’t be blamed for poor quality.
“He should be struggling against Sundowns, Pirates and Stellenbosch, but that will be debated for another day. Let them sink.”
Another Kaizer Chiefs fan took a swipe at Nabi and likened him to a plumber. The user commented, “He is a plumber.”
Other fans have made it known that the club must get rid of him before it’s too late.
WAS THE SIGNING OF THE TUNISIAN GAFFER A BIG MISTAKE?
Football analysts like Junior Khanye have said that Kaizer Chiefs made a mistake by signing Nabi. Yet Pitso Mosimane was available and listening to offers.
“Kaizer Chiefs made a mistake by going to North Africa and getting Nabi as the new coach. They should have hired coach Pitso, who was available and did not have a job then,” said Junior Khanye.
WILL NABI WIN ANY BIG SILVERWARE WITH KAIZER CHIEFS IN HIS FIRST SEASON?
