Ex-Kaizer Chiefs star finds new home!

Former Kaizer Chiefs star Khama Billiat has found a new home following the expiry of his contract with Yadah FC.

On Thursday, Billiat was unveiled by Zimbabwean Premier Soccer League outfit Scottland Football Club.

Scottland FC have just been promoted to the topflight in Zimbabwe, and they are reported to be financially stable.

Now, they will be looking to the experience of Billiat to try and stay in the Zimbabwean Premier Soccer League for years.

At 34, Billiat is already in the twilight of his career, and whether or not intends to stay in Zimbabwe forever remains unclear.

And this stems from media reports that several PSL clubs were looking to bring him back to South Africa.

The reports came on the back of Billiat scoring 13 goals in 26 league games for Yadah FC last season.

As a result, Billiat finished the campaign as the league’s second top goalscorer; a huge improvement from his final season with Chiefs.

However, his exploits were not enough to, at least, help Yadah finish in the top half of the log – they ended up in 11th position.

Now, Billiat will be eager to build on that performances with Yadah at Scottland FC, especially with the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) on the horizon.

Billiat came out of international retirement after regaining his old form, and representing Warriors one more time at a bigger stage would be his dream.

The speedy attacker has 51 caps to his name with Warriors, and he has netted 17 times since making his debut in 2011.
