Author Ashley St. Clair has hit South African-born billionaire Elon Musk with a paternity suit and she is now seeking sole custody of their five-month-old baby.

Pretoria-born billionaire Elon Musk has not publicly acknowledged that he welcomed his 13th child to the world, his first with 26-year-old author Ashley St. Clair. The author released a statement on 14 February, claiming that she welcomed a baby five months ago and Musk is the father.

The conservative author is now seeking to legally declare that Musk is the father of her child. She is also seeking sole custody of their five-month-old son, as reported by New York Post. According to the publication, St. Clair filed a pair of petitions in Manhattan Supreme Court Friday 21 February.

The publication also reports that she seeks to officially recognise Musk as the father of her baby. She claims the baby was conceived during a January 2024 trip to St. Barths. The author has asked the court to submit a genetic test to determine if the billionaire is the father. In the court filing, she included a photo of Musk holding their son as well as “flirtatious” texts between them.

MUSK ALLEGEDLY ONLY MET THE BABY THREE TIMES

The author went on to claim that Musk was not present when she gave birth to their son. She also claimed that he only met the baby on three occasions – twice in Manhattan, where she resides and once in Texas. As per the custody filing, St. Clair claimed that Musk has never asked to see the baby nor did he ask for photos of the baby.

If this is in fact Musk’s baby, this would be his 13th child. The Tesla and SpaceX CEO had six children with ex-wife Justine Musk. The pair welcomed a son named Nevada, who passed away at just six weeks old due to Sudden Infant Syndrome (SIDS).

Justine and Musk also had a pair of twins and a pair of triplets together, welcomed via IVF. Musk also has three children with Canadian musician, Clair Elise Boucher, popularly known as Grimes. The musician has also called out Musk publicly over their child’s “medical crisis”. The billionaire also has three children with Neuralinks executive Shivon Zilis.
