Elon Musk announced as leader of Department of Government Efficiency in America

South African-born prominent businessman and investor, Elon Musk has been revealed as one of the leaders of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) alongside Vivek Ramaswamy in the US.

In a statement released by the US President Donald Trump, it states that Elon and Vivek will work on Donald’s administration to tear down government bureaucracy, slash excess regulations, cut wasteful expenditures and restructure federal agencies.

“I look forward to Elon and Vivek making changes to the Federal Bureaucracy with an eye on efficiency and at the same time, making life better for all Americans,” read the statement.

The business tycoon emigrated to the US when he was a young adult, and has become a full US citizen. Elon who is a CEO of X (formerly known as Twitter) was born in 1971 in Pretoria. He is also a CEO and chief engineer of SpaceX and CEO of Tesla inc.
