The City of Ekurhuleni is offering kids FREE swimming lessons

In other City news, as part of its broader water safety programme the CoE is offering free swimming lessons to learners in grades one to three.

The lessons are designed to teach vital water safety and swimming skills to these children. The programme also aims to boost confidence and equip kids with life-saving abilities in a safe and supportive environment.

Held at select municipal pools in Ekurhuleni, including the Delville Swimming Pool in Germiston, the initiative provides an accessible platform for youngsters to learn and practice essential swimming techniques.

The program runs until June 2025. It offers a unique opportunity for schools and parents to ensure their children gain these vital skills at no cost. Read more on that story here.
