ADV. DALI MPOFU: X
It seems the red ship is slowly sinking as many members announce their resignation from the party. What will happen to the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) if everyone decides to leave?
As per reports by news publication, Mail & Guardian, the National Chairperson of the EFF and legal representative advocate Dali Mpofu was the latest member to hang up his red beret.
Dali’s transition from the EFF to former president Jacob Zuma’s uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) party as previous members, Busisiwe Mkhwebane and Floyd Shivambu also left earlier this year.
While the EFF leader Julius Malema remains unmoved by Dali’s recent decision, the advocate also known to be part of Jacob’s legal team said his decision to leave was based on him finding himself in the political regime.
Speaking to SABC after moving to the MK party, he said, “The MK party has been true to fostering unity, total black and progressive unity, and I feel total liberation would be achieved through the MK party.” adding, “There was a time when former President Zuma and I were the only people who knew about this project of the formation of MK.”
When asked by entertainment publication, ZiMoja about whether he spoke to the EFF party’s president on his decision to move he said, “There is no need to inform anyone at any particular time. There is no bad blood. I’ll extend that courtesy after this announcement. I am sure our paths will meet in this difficult journey for unity. There is nothing personal at all. Nothing is being done against a particular person; it is something that I am doing for my people.”
Since the announcement many X (formerly known as Twitter) have shared their responses with some adding that he could have left when everybody else was leaving the party.
Dali Mpofu left that sinking ship, there’s only one smart person left in the EFF which is Ndlozi, if he leaves then it’s game over, Malema will be left with the mediocre domkops like Marshall pic.twitter.com/FZt2OmINQQ

Dali Mpofu was central in the formation of the MK party and is not even denying it. He further says he played part in calling political leaders of different parties, even chaired a meeting of the MK party during that time. pic.twitter.com/O0xnib9TAQ

Dali Mpofu and most of the politicians moving to MK Party are not the kind of people whose loyalty you can count on, really.
