EFF claps back at Donald Trump

The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) has responded to former United States (US) President Donald Trump, who criticised the South African government’s approach to land confiscation and alleged genocide against white farmers in a series of tweets.

On his Truth Social account, Trump claimed that the land of white farmers was being seized in South Africa and accused the media of failing to report on this issue.

“How can we be expected to attend the very important G20 Meeting in South Africa when land confiscation and genocide are the primary topics of conversation? They are taking the land of white farmers and then killing them and their families. The media refuses to report on this,” the US President said.

In a statement released on Saturday morning, the EFF described Trump as delusional.

“The Economic Freedom Fighters has taken note of social media post by the President of United States of America (USA) Donald Trump, wherein he indicates his reservations regarding attending the G20 summit in South Africa. In his usual delusional matter, Trump cites land confiscations and genocide in South Africa as his reason and attaches his ridiculous claim a video of the Commander in Chiefs and President of the EFF Julius Malema debating the land question in parliament.

The party said Trump has lost his sense and touch of reality. He was trying to distract the public from the ‘mess’ he created globally by implementing tariffs.

“As the EFF, we would like to tell the ‘tariff wielding barbarian’ that he would be lucky to still be President of the USA by the time the G20 Summit occurs in SA, following his recklessness and economic iliteracy which has plunged the US economy into recession and launched them into trade war with China and Europe.
