E-hailing driver robbed by passengers in Johannesburg

In the second reported incident in a matter of weeks, a Bolt e-hailing driver was fortunate to escape with his life after being robbed by his passengers.

Manhunt launched

The incident took place at the corner of Crown Street and Main Street in Jeppestown in Johannesburg.

A manhunt has been launched for the suspects.

Meanwhile, as reported by The South African website, an e-hailing driver escaped with his life on Christmas Eve after he was robbed by four armed assailants in the Athlone area of Cape Town.

In a viral X post by Yusuf Abramjee, the robbers can be seen entering the vehicle and demanding money.

The one suspect, seated in the front passenger seat, has reportedly been identified.
