Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Sphelele Mkhulise has been linked with a sensational move to rivals Kaizer Chiefs.
The talented midfielder has struggled for game-time at Chloorkop and new reports suggest Sundowns are willing to offload him, opening the path for a move away from the club!
Citing the midfielder as a key Kaizer Chiefs target, an insider told Soccer Laduma that the Brazilians are ready to trim their squad next season and Mkhulise could one of those to make way.
“Yes, Pitso (Mkhulise) still has a year left on his current contract and that’s why the talks are ongoing but the club is believed to be looking at downsizing the squad from next season and they are firstly looking at certain players (not starting for the first team) which could include him as well,” an insider told the publication.
“It won’t affect only him but few other players as well including those currently on loan and some whose contracts are coming to an end either this season or next season.”
