DJ Fisherman returns to music

DJ Fisherman, real name Sfiso Mjoli, is back in the music scene with his highly anticipated project Chapter X.

After taking a break for almost 10 years, the renowned DJ and producer has returned with a renewed passion for his craft, despite facing numerous challenges.

In a candid interview with TshisaLIVE, DJ Fisherman shared the emotional journey behind his return to music, revealing how setbacks and struggles nearly caused him to quit.

“I’m not a man of many words, but something just says say a few things,” he said. “The challenges I faced hurt me, and at some point, I hated making music. But I’m here to say, ‘You can still start over again.’”

The DJ admitted that he doesn’t have the resources to push his music to a wider audience, and his social media presence has suffered due to a hacked Facebook account and his reluctance to engage online.

However, he expressed gratitude for the support of his fans and urged them to help spread the word about his new project.

“I don’t know how to make dance challenges or have much resources to reach out to the world. So, I put my trust in you to get this music out there,” he explained.

Despite the struggles, DJ Fisherman is optimistic about his comeback, drawing inspiration from others who have faced similar hardships.

“I know many artists, DJs, and creatives have experienced pain—whether it’s financial, internet bullying, or betrayal. I want to show that there’s life after setbacks, and I’m here, starting over.”

As he embraces the changing entertainment landscape, DJ Fisherman remains thankful to everyone who has supported him throughout the years.

“It feels good to press play again after so many years,” he said, reflecting on his return with a sense of accomplishment.
