Reports on Tuesday morning of an explosion along the M3 near Newlands Forest in Cape Town severely impacted traffic into the CBD.
Reports at the time of publishing suggested that a bus stationed near the forest along the M3 had exploded.
Motorists are urged to take extreme caution when passing the affected area.
UPDATE: Motorists have confirmed to The South African website that the fire has been extinguished, but heavy traffic continues.
