Deputy President Paul Mashatile is fine
Deputy President Paul Mashatile collapses on stage during his speech at N’wamitwa Day Celebrations in Tzaneen, Limpopo.
In a video that has gone viral on social media, the DP was delivering his address when he collapsed; his security was able to come to his rescue before landing fully on the ground.
The presidency has assured the public that Mashatile is fine, and was not taken to the hospital
“He was addressing a meeting when he started feeling unwell. Security took him to a car, and he was taken to another location for assessment by medical personnel. Rushing him to a hospital would have taken longer and may have complicated issues further.
“Medical professionals checked his condition and found nothing serious. They cleared him shortly after,” Mashatile’s spokesperson Keith Khoza revealed to The Citizen.
