Jacaranda FM’s vibrant personality, Danny Painter, has just returned from an unforgettable journey to Abu Dhabi, and she can’t stop raving about it.

DANNY PAINTER IN ABU DHABI

The capital of the United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi is a stunning mix of culture, adventure, and luxury. For Danny, this trip was nothing short of transformative, according to XPloreZa.

“Dubai is for business, Abu Dhabi is for the soul,” Danny explains, capturing the essence of her experience.

DANNY PAINTER AND HER BUCKET LIST

After exploring the city, she believes it deserves a top spot on everyone’s travel bucket list.

“I had no idea what to expect, but I’ve come home completely changed. Abu Dhabi is hands down the best place I’ve ever travelled to!”

The trip’s highlight for Danny was the warmth of the people. She felt a sense of safety and freedom that she had never experienced before, according to Current Affairs ZA.

“I was catching cabs alone at midnight in the city centre without a network and felt completely safe,” she recalls.

This comfort, combined with the city’s blend of culture and acceptance, left a lasting impression on her.

“Abu Dhabi taught me so much about myself, gave me confidence, and opened my eyes to a world I must explore more—the Middle East!”

During her stay, Danny enjoyed the Southern Sun hotel. This is a beautiful four-star property complete with a rooftop pool.

“I met the most incredible people there and spent hours drinking MCC while overlooking the city and the sea,” she shares.

DANNY PAINTER AT SOL INVICTUS

One emotional moment came when she said goodbye to the hotel staff, whom she felt had become like family.

Another unforgettable experience was attending the breathtaking performance of ‘Sol Invictus’. This was choreographed by Hervé Koubi, at NYU Abu Dhabi.

“It was definitely a highlight of my trip!” Danny enthuses. However, no visit to Abu Dhabi would be complete without a desert safari.

“My brother and I went on one with Emirates Tours, and our guide, Rasheed, was phenomenal. He drifted off the dunes while explaining the wildlife,” she recounts.

THE LOCAL CULTURE

The night ended with a traditional BBQ and dancing under the stars, a perfect way to immerse herself in the local culture. Danny also indulged in Abu Dhabi’s diverse culinary scene.

“Whatever your heart desires—from English pub food to Michelin-star pizza—is available,” she notes. One standout experience was dining at the world’s only Michelin-star pizzeria located in Emirates Palace.

“It was the best pizza and dining experience I’ve ever had!” she claims. On the subject of travel, Danny is a spontaneous adventurer.

“All it takes is a suggestion of a concert, and I’m in! I save most of my money for travel, so I don’t go out much,” she explains.

NEW FOOD AND CULTURES

This spontaneous nature has led her to explore new foods and cultures, bringing back recipes and stories that enrich her life.

“There’s nothing better for the mind, body, and soul than travel,” she adds. Now back home, Danny dreams of her next adventures.

“I left a piece of my heart in Abu Dhabi, and I’ll be going back as soon as I can!”

FUTURE BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS

With her 40th birthday approaching, she’s considering celebrating in countries like France, New Orleans, Romania, or Turkey.

“I also want to explore more of my home continent, starting with Morocco!” she reveals.

Listeners can catch Danny on Love Songs with Danny Painter every Monday to Thursday from 19:00 to 22:00. She is also on the CTM Top 40 every Saturday from 10:00 to 14:00, only on Jacaranda FM.
