Cape Town Spurs suffered their third successive defeat after losing 2-0 against Orbit College in the Motsepe Foundation Championship at Olympia Park Stadium on Saturday.

CT Spurs have struggled to find a consistent winning form following their relegation to the NFD at the end of the 2023/24 Betway Premiership season.

In their last three league matches, the Urban Warriors have lost against Kruger United, Black Leopards, and Orbit College. Spurs are also winless in their last six league encounters, having last won 2-1 against Hungry Lions FC on the 23rd of September 2024.

CT Spurs are sitting 13th on the log standings with nine points after winning two games, drawing three while losing five times in 10 games.

Elsewhere, Durban City FC ran riot after claiming an impressive 5-2 victory over JDR Stars at Chatsworth Stadium on Friday.

The KZN-based side bounced back from their 1-0 defeat against AmaTuks last weekend. Since the start of the campaign, Durban City have won five games, drew three and suffered defeats on two occasions.
