Courtney Jongwe crowned Miss World Zimbabwe

23-year-old Courtney Jongwe was crowned Miss World Zimbabwe in a ceremony held on Saturday 30 November in Borrowdale, Harare.

MEET THE NEW MISS WORLD ZIMBABWE: COURTNEY JONGWE

South African media personality Kim Jayde hosted the Miss World Zimbabwe pageant at the elegant Siyekhaya Estate in Borrowdale, Harare. The theme of the event was “Beauty with a Purpose”. 23-year-old Courtney Jongwe was crowned Miss World Zimbabwe at the end of the event.

So, Courtney will be representing Zimbabwe at the Miss World pageant in 2025. Yollanda Chimbarami and Life Matunzeni were the runners up. Courtney previously represented Zimbabwe at the Miss Earth pageant in 2023. According to her Instagram biography, Courtney is a chemical engineer by profession.

While the Miss World Zimbabwe Instagram page says she is a chemical engineering student.

“Our #MissWorldZimbabwe queen is a dedicated fifth-year Chemical and Processing Engineering student. Her leadership abilities have been evident since she was in high school when she was the head girl, to when she served as the Vice President of her university’s Student Representative Council,” read the caption.

Krystyna Pyszková of the Czech Republic is the reigning Miss World. Zoalize Jansen van Rensburg was crowned Miss World South Africa in October.

Nokutenda Shekinah Marumbwa passed down the crown to her successor – Courtney. Taking to Instagram, she expressed that she was so proud of the new Miss World Zimbabwe. Take a look…

“I wore the crown as Miss World Zimbabwe 2024 , I gave it my all, I made it count, I used my voice and made a difference and positive impact. I’m Passing on the crown, passing on the legacy of making a positive impact, passing on the torch of leadership, passion and purpose to inspire a bright future,” she wrote.

“Ladies and gentlemen your Miss World Zim🇿🇼2025 is ….. @courtneytjongwe 🥹❤️❤️ So proud of you my love,” she continued.
