Pop group Mafikizolo’s Nhlanhla Mafu gears up to release solo music, despite being in a group with Theo Kgosinkwe.

For over 28 years, mzansi listeners have enjoyed music from the duo as they have gone on to shape the music industry for many generations to come.

According to news publication, IOL, the singer is set to release a wedding celebration song titled, Ngithanda Wena featuring renowned Durban-born DJ Tira and AmaTycooler.

Speaking on her solo project she told the news publication that, “During the creative process when we were ideating bridal garments with my team, I came up with the idea of dropping a song that can be coupled with the range. I called DJ Tira and the rest is history,” adding, “He is immensely talented and brings so much positivity, amazing energy and vibe. It has been amazing working with him. He suggested we bring AmaTycooler on board. I can’t wait for the world to hear what they have to offer.”

Despite there being no records of the duo breaking up, a close source told entertainment publication, ZiMoja, that Nhlanlha had been taking a lot of solo bookings outside the group and could potentially be working on a solo career due to alleged back and forth between the pair.

The singer has also gone to share a poster of her solo booking contact details leading to speculations that maybe she might want to pursue things on her own.
