Orlando Pirates are set to announce a number of new signings as soon as the transfer window opens for next season.
Pirates are rumoured to have been busy with boosting their squad ahead of another busy campaign in 2025/26.
Pirates set to overhaul midfield
One of the positions that Pirates seem keen to revamp ahead of the new campaign, is their midfield. According to reports, the Buccaneers have transfer agreements in place to sign Sihle Nduli and Sinoxolo Kwayiba. Nduli would be arriving from Stellenbosch FC as a free agent, while Kwayiba is set to join from Chippa United.
These moves seem to already be having a domino effect on the current Pirates midfield. It is believed that the Buccaneers are set to part ways with at least four central midfielders to make room. One confirmed being Miguel Timm, with Goodman Mosele also reported to be on his way out. This could mean a new midfield pairing of Nduli and Kwayiba could be on the cards, to compete with Makhahlene Makhaula and Thalente Mbatha.
Three-year deal for Kwayiba
Now according to Unplayable, Kwayiba has finalised his move to Pirates. Furthermore, they also state that he has signed a three-year contract with the Buccaneers. This will come as a big boost as they effectively add more Bafana Bafana quality to their squad. The lanky star is adapt to playing both deep and advanced roles in the midfield as well, giving them options.
There has been no official confirmation from Pirates or Chippa about the deal for Kwayiba as yet. But it is largely expected to be announced, together with other rumoured signings at the start of the window.
