Christopher Logan to pay R1,25m over fake racist claims

Christopher Logan – the man who accused the owners of Hank’s Olde Irish pub in Cape Town of being “racist” – will have to fork out R1,25 million over a defamation ruling.

The young man – allegedly believed to be an “aspiring politician” – and his friend Thabiso Danca made headlines in 2022 over a viral video.

In it, Logan claimed his friend was denied entry into the pub based on his race.

HANK’S OLDE IRISH PUB WINS R125M LAWSUIT

According to media reports, the owners of Hank’s Olde Irish Pub – located in Cape Town’s Bree Street – were awarded R1,25 million in a defamation settlement.

The ruling was made by the Western Cape High Court in favour of pub co-owners, brothers Viron and John Papadakis, against Christopher Logan, whose video in the establishment went viral.

Logan – alleged to have political aspirations – will have to pay R500 000 to each brother for their loss of income. He will also have to fork out R250 000 in general damages.

WHERE IS CHRISTOPHER LOGAN?

Christopher Logan – who was last active on his X account in May – has yet to publicly respond to the judgement of his defamation lawsuit.

According to one X user, he is “hiding in the US,” although that could not be verified.
