While the Chris Brown: A History of Violence documentary premieres around the world today, South Africans will have to wait until next month to watch it.

The bombshell production comes just weeks before the US singer is set to perform at two concerts at the FNB Stadium in December.

The controversial artist – whose concert takes place days after the 16 Days of Activism against Gemer-Based Violence (GBV) is facing a petition calling for his shows to be canned.

CHRIS BROWN DOCUMENTARY: WHERE AND WHEN TO WATCH

According to reports, South Africans can watch the documentary Chris Brown: A History of Violence on Friday, 8 November at 21:00 on Investigation Discovery (DStv channel 171).

The doccie is part of the channel’s annual “No Excuse for Abuse” campaign.

A synopsis of the doccie reads: “Chris Brown: A History of Violence charts Chris Brown’s past all the way back to his troubled childhood, explores the lasting impact of the cycle of abuse, and poses the question: how does a man with such a violent public record maintain his superstar status?”

NEW VICTIM SPEAKS OUT

According to People Magazine, viewers can expect to hear bombshell new allegations from a woman who accused Chris Brown of rape.

The incident allegedly took place in 2020 at a party on a yacht – coincidentally belonging to P Diddy, who is facing his own mounting allegations relating to sexual assault and domestic abuse.

The unidentified woman – named “Jane Doe” in court documents, alleges that the R&B singer drugged and sexually assaulted her.

She said in a clip: “I know it for a fact. Instead of telling myself that it wasn’t. It was. It was rape”.
