In a recent Instagram post, Miss Universe 2024 first runner-up Chidimma Adetshina acknowledged that she has shaken the universe.
CHIDIMMA CELEBRATES HER WINS
It is without a doubt that the 23-year-old model had the whole world talking. Her controversies at the Miss South Africa 2024 pageant, regarding her identity and eligibility, along with her crowning as Miss Nigeria 2024 and now being named the first princess at Miss Universe 2024, have set tongues wagging.
Taking to Instagram on Tuesday 19 November, she celebrated her recent accomplishments and expressed gratitude to Nigeria and Africa for their belief in her and their support. This comes after she returned to Nigeria after competing at the Miss Universe 2024 pageant.
“I came, I saw, and I shook the universe. Returning home as Miss Universe First Runner-Up and Miss Universe Africa & Oceania. I’m filled with immense gratitude for Nigeria and Africa for believing in me and helping me reclaim my dreams.
“This is what it truly means for dreams to come true. A heartfelt thank you to Silverbird Group, Chichi Nation and everyone who has supported me on this incredible journey. Your recognition means the world. God bless you all,” she wrote.
CHIDIMMA TAKES A BREAK FROM PAGEANTS
Chidimma told BBC News Pidgin that she is stepping back from pageantry to concentrate on her education and personal development.
“I am putting pageant to bed. I’m going to focus more on my education and establishing who Chidimma is. More into runways. So many things I would like to touch on and see where my potential can go to,” she said.
“I’m glad it’s all done so I can focus on myself and my mental health. I think that’s important for me.”
