Sol Phenduka faces backlash over comments on Minnie Dlamini
South African radio and podcast host Solomzi “Sol” Phenduka is facing heat online following controversial comments he and co-host Mac G made about Minnie Dlamini on their popular show, Podcast and Chill.
The remarks, which were deemed nasty by many listeners, came in the wake of Dlamini’s public breakup with celebrity surgeon Dr. Brian Monaisa.
As the episode made rounds on social media, many users didn’t hold back, slamming Sol for what they considered disrespectful and unnecessary commentary.
The backlash quickly gained momentum, with fans and followers of the media personality flooding platforms with criticism directed at the Kaya 959 host.
In response to the online outrage, Sol took to social media to defend himself, though in a rather rhetorical and pointed manner.
Instead of issuing a formal apology or explanation, he simply asked, “Can I live?” — a question that sparked even more reactions from users who felt he was deflecting accountability.
