After emerging victorious in her R300k defamation suit against blogger Rea Gopane back in 2022, Bonang Matheba is back to remind the masses that a man in debt is so for a slave as she reveals that she has not forgotten about the money that is owed to her.
Many of you know Bonang Matheba for being the boss babe that she is, however, I don’t think we all knew that her pettiness can reach such levels as she digs up drama that dates all the way back to 2021, just to remind someone who wronged her that she is still waiting for them to settle their debts with her.
If you are unfamiliar with the lore, don’t worry because I will be filling you in. No one will ever miss out on some gossip on BONA‘s watch, as full context is imperative. So, it all began when Rea Gopane took to his podcast to allege that Bonang was responsible for introducing her then-boyfriend, the late Kiernan Forbes who was affectionately known as AKA, to cocaine. Furthermore, he went on to insinuate that this drug use by the rapper is what led to the death of Anele ‘Nelli’ Tembe, who was AKA’s fiance.
Coming across this, Bonang decided that she would not be letting the matter slide, and would make an example of Rea by dealing with the matter legally. This resulted in Bonang suing the YouTuber for defamation, a case which she won, ordering Rea to pay a sum of R300k in instalments, as well as to cover her legal fees.
Presently, Bonang has unexpectedly provided the masses with an update to the case, as she rushes to X(formerly Twitter) to inquire about Rea’s whereabouts, as she wants to ensure that he pays every single cent of the money he owes her. Those who have kept tabs on him have revealed that he has resorted to delving into the world of spicy content creation, aka OnlyFans in order to make ends meet and settle his debt with Bonang.
” Good, I WILL receive every single cent,” Bonang says in response to the news. Doubling down she shares a post that reads “….learn to mind your own business. Keeps you out of trouble & out of debt,” as she takes a jab at the media personality who seems to already be down and out.
As expected, internet users are living for this drama as they express shock at the fact that Bonang has not let this matter go. Furthermore, they reveal that Rea continues to serve as an example for people to watch what they say.
