Black Leopards shocked Durban City FC after claiming a 2-1 victory in the Motsepe Foundation Championship at Thohoyandou Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The defeat against Leopards was Durban City’s first loss since the start of the 2024/25 season. The KZN-based side have won four league games, drew three and lost once in eight matches. They are currently sitting second on the log standings with 15 points.

On the other hand, Lidoda Duvha have also had a promising start to the new season in the NFD and they occupying a fourth position on the log. Leopards accumulated 14 points after winning four games, drawing two while losing twice in eight outings.

Elsewhere, Milford FC reclaimed a top spot in the Championship after an impressive 3-0 win over Leruma United at Princess Magogo Stadium on Saturday.

Milford bounced back from their disappointing 3-0 defeat against Orbit College at Olympia Park Stadium last weekend. In the current campaign, Milford won five games, drew two and lost once. They are sitting at the summit of the log with 17 points.

VENDA FC BEAT CASRIC STARS AT LUCAS MORIPE STADIUM

Meanwhile, Venda FC beat Casric Stars 3-2 at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday. The loss against Venda FC was Casric’s second successive defeat after losing 1-0 against Leruma United last Sunday. Casric Stars are sitting fifth on the eague table after collecting 13 points. The Mpumalanga-based outfit won four games, drew one and lost three times in eight matches

Baroka FC 

In addition, Pretoria Callies walked away with a slender 1-0 victory over Baroka FC at TUT Stadium on Saturday. Callies and Baroka are positioned 10th and 11th on the log with nine points.
