Amapiano hit record Biri Marung has been certified platinum.
Sony Music announced the milestone of the 2023 hit song, congratulating the artists who created the sound – Tebogo Mashego, DJ Maphorisa, Mr Pilato, Focalistic and a few others.
“Biri Marung Officially Platinum 💿. Thank you to everyone who has been rocking with the song & S/O to every DJ,” reads the caption.
The song exceeded 40 000 units sold, hence the platinum status.
Biri Marung garnered laudable succes, including being most radio stations Song of the Year 2023.
