Former U.S. President Barack Obama has seemingly shut down ongoing divorce rumours about his marriage to Michelle Obama.

As people around the world celebrate Easter Sunday, Obama subtly reaffirmed to his X followers that their marriage is still going strong.

OBAMA ADDRESSES DIVORCE RUMOURS

America’s power couple, Michelle and Barack Obama, have been plagued by divorce rumours for some time.

Speculation about cracks in their marriage has been circulating for months now, with tabloids suggesting their 28-year union had come to an end. The rumours gained traction after Michelle was noticeably absent from several high-profile events attended by her husband.

However, Barack Obama has subtly put the rumours to rest. As people celebrated Easter Sunday, he took to X to share a message of well-wishes—seemingly reaffirming his bond with Michelle.

“To everyone celebrating today, Michelle and I hope you have a blessed and happy Easter.”

MICHELLE PROUDLY FLAUNTS HER WEDDING ROCK

According to Page Six, Michelle Obama was spotted proudly wearing her wedding ring in Los Angeles on Thursday, April 17, 2025.

Flaunting her ring publicly signalled that her marriage to Barack Obama is still strong.

This comes after she also addressed and dismissed divorce rumours during her appearance on Sophia Bush’s Work in Progress podcast.

“Marriage takes work, patience, and a lot of love,” she said. “Barack and I have faced our share of obstacles, but we’ve always come through stronger together.”

Michelle explained that she chose to step away from political events because they no longer resonated with her personally. She made it clear that her decision had nothing to do with problems in her marriage.

“The interesting thing is that when I say ‘no,’ for the most part, people are like, ‘I get it,’ and I’m OK,” she said on the podcast.

“And that’s the thing that we as women struggle with — disappointing people,” she continued. “So much so that people, they couldn’t even fathom that I was making a choice for myself, that they had to assume that my husband and I are divorcing.”
