South African TV host, entrepreneur, model and brand ambassador for some of the world’s leading brands, Ayanda Thabethe, has obtained her Master of Business Administration (MBA).

Thabethe went on to share that her MBA journey started in 2021, and after four years, she has finally completed it. She expressed how obtaining an MBA typically takes around two and a half years, yet it took her four years. In that time span, she has welcomed two children.

“With every pause, every return, came with its own mountain to climb. But with determination and the best support system both personally and from @henleyafrica [Henley Business School – Africa], I never lost sight of why I started”, Thabethe shared on Friday.

Her motivation to finish

As someone who shares much of her life on social media, Thabethe reflected on how thatplayed a role in her achievement. “While many people believe in announcing only when things are done (and to a large extent, I do too), publicly declaring this goal became part of my motivation to finish. It served to follow through, not just for me, but for anyone who may have needed the reminder that you can do hard things.”

”Your story is a beautiful reminder of why we do what we do. We’re so proud of you and honoured to have been part of your story. Welcome to the Henley MBA alumni family!” said Henley Business School in a congratulatory message to Thabethe.

What the MBA means for the businesswoman

An MBA is essentially designed to equip professionals with the skills and knowledge they need for leadership and management roles, particularly in senior positions.

Thabethe proudly announced that she obtained her MBA with a distinction. “I’m incredibly proud to have passed with a distinction for my thesis, and I give all glory to God for carrying me through,” she stated.
