It is perhaps safe to say that this is the Springboks’ world – and we are all just living in it.

Following the announcement that World Cup winners Handre Pollard and Eben Etzebeth will soon be expanding their families, yet another one of their teammates announced some baby news.

This past weekend, the Bok scrum-half Faf de Klerk and his wife, Mine, took to social media platforms to announce their pregnancy.

“Surprise! We’re growing the De Klerk team! Big Sister Duty: Pick the Faffie of our new teammate … another girl on the way,” Mine captioned.

The announcement came on the same day that the soon-to-be mother of two celebrated her birthday.

In a post of his own, Faf, who is currently preparing for national duty with the Springboks, took to his Instagram page wishing his long-time partner a happy birthday.

“Thank you for everything you do for us. May God keep you safe this year and make all your dreams come true. Myself and Remi are truly blessed. Here’s to many more adventures together.”

The couple is one of several couples who became first-time parents last year. Some other teammates include the likes of Eben and Handre, who both recently announced that a second baby was on the way.

Their eldest, Remi-Re, was born on 27 February, weighing 2.85 kilograms and 48 centimetres in length. Since then, they have been embracing parenthood and, by the looks of it, are more than overjoyed to welcome another addition.
