AmaZulu FC president Sandile Zungu has made a major decision on the future of former Kaizer Chiefs coach Arthur Zwane.
Zwane joined Usuthu early this season as co-coach alongside Vusumuzi Vilakazi following the sacking Franco Pablo Martin.
He steered the AmaZulu ship with Vilakazi until the latter tendered his resignation letter in February 2025.
Since then, Zwane has been heading the AmaZulu technical team, and results have not been too bad for the club.
As things stand, Usuthu, under Zwane’s tutelage, find themselves sixth on the log and in with a chance to finish in the Top 8.
Now, according to Zungu, the 51-year-old mentor will be staying with AmaZulu beyond the current campaign.
Zwane has taken charge of 18 league games since joining AmaZulu. He has won seven, drawn four and lost seven.
And Zungu feels Mangethe has done a good job, especially in giving AmaZulu what he described as ”character”.
AMAZULU RETAIN EX-KAIZER CHIEFS COACH ARTHUR ZWANE
“I can confirm that Arthur Zwane is going to be with AmaZulu beyond this season,” said Zungu as per FARPost.
“That decision has been taken. We believe he’s done an awesome job in giving character to the team.
“We think he needs to be rewarded with greater loyalty by us as a team as well. And that decision has been communicated not only to him but to the players and the rest of the technical team.
“Arthur Zwane is part of AmaZulu Football Club beyond the end of this season. That’s a fact, and we are very pleased with his good work.”
