SA singer Thatohatsi loses voice due to illbess

Amapiano vocalist Thatohatsi, real name Thato Raphadi, has issued a heartfelt apology after missing multiple scheduled performances over the weekend, including the highly anticipated Red Bull Symphonic on 7 June.

The Xolele hitmaker explained she was forced to cancel due to a sudden illness that left her without her voice.

“I, Thatohatsi, regret to inform you that due to an unexpected illness, I have temporarily lost my voice and was unable to perform at the Red Bull Symphonic, Market@theSheds, and Drama Hatfield PTA,” she said in a statement.

She expressed sincere regret to fans, organisers and sponsors, adding: “I truly appreciate your understanding during this challenging time. I am committed to rescheduling or working with the promoters to find a suitable alternative once I have recovered. I can’t wait to see you all soon.”

Hailing from Payneville in Springs, Thatohatsi rose to fame after her breakout single Xolele went viral on TikTok, and she continues to cement her place as one of Amapiano’s most promising young voices.
