Amanda du-Pont dragged for chasing clout with Cwecwe’s assault case
Amanda du-Pont recently took to social media in an emotional video calling for justice for Cwecwe, a young girl who was allegedly abused at school.
In the video, shared on April 2 via TikTok, Amanda appeared visibly distraught as she expressed her deep sadness and frustration over the situation.
She spoke about the weight of trauma and questioned how a child could possibly endure such pain if even adults are struggling to process it.
She emphasized the importance of speaking out despite the fear of being silenced, declaring that justice must be served for Cwecwe and all children facing similar circumstances.
In her caption, Amanda wrote, “Triggered, broken and hurting for CweCwe. She’s just a kid. If we as adults are carrying the trauma so heavy, what on earth is a child supposed to do? We try to stay in the shadows in fear of being silenced, now look! Anyway, live for something or die for nothing. Not on our watch! Children should feel safe. We demand justice not just for Cwecwe but for every child.”
The video also saw Amanda reflecting on her own past experience with her former boyfriend, Jub Jub.
She expressed her disappointment in how the justice system failed her and shared her hope that Cwecwe’s case would not meet the same fate.
The emotional clip triggered mixed reactions online. While many supported Amanda and appreciated her using her platform to raise awareness, others were skeptical about her intentions.
Some critics accused her of seeking attention and exploiting the situation for clout.
One user commented, “I can just imagine setting up a camera, finding the perfect song to select, and prepping yourself to cry.”
Another wrote, “Content creators are tiring. We are all sad and heartbroken. This is a very sad thing that happened. But we are not exploiting likes by posting videos of us crying. We demand #JusticeForCwecwe.”
This one mustn’t use this serious situation of Cwecwe to push her agenda
