Former Isibaya actress Ayanda Borotho reveals that her twin brother Sandile Ngubane has passed away.

The legendary actress Ayanda Borotho revealed that her twin brother, Sandile “Hammer” Ngubane passed away on Thursday, 7 November 2024.

Borotho took to her Instagram account on Tuesday, 11 November to acknowledge everyone’s messages of comfort during this difficult for the Ngubane family.

“Thank you all for the love and support as I navigate the loss of my twin brother, Sandile. The family appreciates your messages of comfort. Umusa wenu wande,” she wrote.

Borotho currently portrays the role of Phetheni in Mzansi Wethu’s telenovela, Sibongile & The Dlaminis. Her character is married to former Uzalo actor Siyabonga Shibe’s character Njengaye.

She is also known for her performances in Mzansi Magic’s cancelled telenovela, Isibaya as Phumele Zungu from season one to eight.

The author and actress has also starred in Generations: The Legacy and Home Affairs. She began her acting career in SABC1’s popular sitcom, Nomzamo.

ACTRESS’ BROTHER: CAUSE OF DEATH?

The actress Ayanda Borotho reveals that her twin brother Sandile Ngubane died at age of 43 years.

The family confirms that Ngubane passed away after a short illness in a statement on social media.

“It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved son and brother. Sandile met his untimely passing on the 7th of November after a short illness.”

Ngubane’s memorial service and funeral dates will be communicated in due time
