AB Crazy is back and making waves in 2025 with his latest single, Ghost, featuring Nomfundo Yekani. Known for his signature sound, the rapper and producer is staying true to his roots while embracing the evolving music landscape.

“The song Ghost is the type of sound AB Crazy is known for. My approach was not so different in terms of the sound. The only thing that changed is how the music is pushed now and presented to the masses. It’s doing well,” he told TshisaLIVE.

AB Crazy’s journey in the music industry started behind the scenes, crafting beats for some of South Africa’s biggest names, including Teargas, HHP, Fifi Cooper, Khuli Chana, and Anatii.

He gained widespread recognition for producing hits like Khuli Chana’s Mnatebawen and Cashtime Fam’s Goodbye. Over the years, he continued to refine his craft, collaborating with Jozi Entertainment and working on tracks like One Day alongside Mthandazo Gatya and Russell Zuma, as well as Kuhamba Kahle with Touchline.

However, after years of consistent releases, he decided to take a step back from the spotlight.

“I took a break because the music scene is forever changing, so I had to figure out how I would come back and still make a difference with my own sound,” he revealed.

“My return was inspired by my passion and love for music. It’s within me, it’s a gift and a purpose I can’t ignore.”

During his time away, AB Crazy, born Tumelo Dibakwane, focused on personal growth while still lending his talent to collaborations.

The break allowed him to adapt to the ever-evolving industry and prepare for a strong comeback.

“I think talent maintained my relevance and also just being versatile, being open-minded and, most importantly, having a good team and a good manager,” he said.

Now, with Ghost making waves, AB Crazy is ready to take 2025 by storm. He has plenty in store for his fans and is gearing up for a year filled with more music and exciting collaborations.

“There will be more music and features with other artists coming up as well. It’s going to be a great year,” he promised.
